Building an app to solve a business problem in 1 hour
I’ve written before that I own a travel company with my wife. One of the problems in that business is managing the tens of thousands of images we’ve accumulated over the years.
Google Photos has severely restricted what you can do with their API — you can only manage photos that your own app has uploaded. This forced us to manually add descriptions to photos, identify the right images for blogs and social posts, and download photos for usage elsewhere.
To solve the problem, I needed to build an app.
